hey merry x'mas everyone!

well honestly i dont celebrate x'mas, but i'm just another person who's been brainwashed by all the advertising and commercialism and taken in by all the hype that 'the man' has so successfully created.

yes i admit it, i'm one of those drones flocking to the malls, cracking my head thinking what to get for my loved ones. but hey, despite all the headaches, long queues, lack of parking spaces etc etc etc .. its actually quite fun - and nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing the happy look on your loved ones face when they get ur gift (burns a hole in ur pocket tho).

obviously i couldn't not get anything for the person i love the mostest in the whole wide world right? so here's some stuff i got for MYSELF during my mall scourge:

could not resist getting a spud trooper as a companion for darth tater. don't u think they look so cute together?

what? beer in a champagne bottle? yerpz, a limited edition 1.5 litre heiney complete with a pop-able cork. cool stuff!

ok, now back to the man, and all the hype he's created. i mean, think bout it - most ppl (especially me) dont celebrate x'mas (heck, i'm not even christian) but we still feel that we have to go out and get gifts for others. why is that?

issit because its the season of sharing? why issit that there're 365 days in a year and we only have to share on that one day? why can't we do that everyday?!

sharing everyday does not necessarily mean giving gifts to others everyday .. it could also mean just being nice to ppl, being polite instead of snapping at everyone just cos u were stuck in the jam in this morning and got late to work (hehe.. this one sounds like its fm experience huh?). heck, or it could just as simple as smiling at someone and saying "hi, how are you?" (and meaning it of course, none of that superficial crap). i'm sure the world would be a much better place if everyone did that.

* que john lennon's "all we are sayinggg.. is give peace a chance" *

well, this is just something for u think about. same goes for valentine's day - why do u have to show that u love that person only on that day when u can do it everyday? u're supposed to anyway. and dont get me started about the un-romantic-ness of the origin of that day - but thats another story for another day.

anyway happy holiday guys! don't worry, if your x'mas celebration sucked there's still the new years eve to make up for it..
