i can't believe i just spent almost the entire day at midvalley on my day off! and i actually had a pretty good time too. i'm surprised. i mean, we spent the earlier part of the day getting stuff that needed to be gotten, ermm like a new memory card for my digicam (i can't believe that i was suffering with my measely 8mb card when i could've just gotten a 128mb one! 600+ high resolution or over a 1000 lower resolution pics at one go baby!), some stuff from carrefour and some slacks from dockers (which stupidly i forgot to pick up from altering - lucky i'm at midvalley 5 days a week so i'll get it on mon).
well then for the first time ever i had dinner at that thai restaurant - arun-pbhttt heavenly thai, (can't remember the 1st word hahaa). the food was just so-so but it was a lil pricey. i mean 45 bucks for a grilled fish? i'd still recommend just-thai at utama2 anytime (the one next to secret recipe) for good food at a reasonable price.
okay, now for what everyone's been waiting for .. my review on King Arthur. i have to say that i give two thumbs up for what an excellent job the directors and screen writers did. i mean they did the impossible: creating a movie that practically did NOT have a lead actor/actress. i mean, it felt like every character in there was an "extra" (in other words, calla-fare if u understand). the characters was so un-engaging that basically none of them was memorable in any way - heck, i bet if it wasn't for King Arthur being such a legend u'll find urself walking out of the cinema thinking "King who?".. and it didn't help that the storyline was lame (corny as one of my friends put it) and the plot was weak. heck, even the villian looked bored throughout the movie.. he was like "*yawn* i'm definitely not gonna get an oscar for this so lets get just this over with shall we and gimme my damn paycheck" .. even the mindless violence and draggy fight scenes couldn't save the thin plot and kayu acting i tell you. i mean, it was like ppl getting chopped up, blood everywhere and i was actually falling asleep okay? maybe it was cos these action scenes were really unnecessarily draggy. i can only liken it to the singing and dancing in hindi/tamil movies, take em away n what's left is a 15 minute show - u get the picture right?
my conclusion? well, if mindless violence, bad acting and lousy story lines (and not to mention ermm, not so good looking actors) are ur cup of tea then by all means spend that 10 bucks of ur hard earned money on it... but if it isn't but somehow u feel that u REALLY have to watch it, i'd recommend talkin ur fren into getting the DVD and then nick it off them - but don't say i din warn u.
