one small step "forward" by a backward state, one huge leap backward for Malaysia
recently, the kelantan govt decided to implement a ruling to fine women RM500 if they were to be caught dressing "indecently". this "indecent dressing" includes, wearing ANY form body hugging clothes, short skirts, "revealing" tops (which i'm sure includes spaghetti straps) and bla bla bla.. i guess that pretty much covers all clothes that gals wear these days, so whats left i wonder? maybe hiphop brands should start opening boutiques there cos the way i see it, only oversized jerseys and baggy jeans are cleared for women there.
well anyway, that was wats in the news yesterday and obviously the women's movement are throwing a huge hissy fit about this. but guess what? kelantan MB nik aziz upped the ante today by stating:
"a women who wears an indecent outfit does not respect herself, so how can she expect men to respect her?"
you're the fking champ la, nik aziz. i salute you, i really do.
