so dark the con of dan..

managed to catch the da vincci code over the weekend and all i can say is that i was blown away. its just amazing! i'm even going to try to comment on it because i think no matter wat i say, it just wont begin to describe how good i think it was.
well, before i get carried away here i think i need to clarify one point. i personally felt that the movie in general, ie the general portrayal of the story and acting, was JUST mediocre (with major emphasis on the JUST).
now before u start about me contradicting myself, do hear me out - the movie was just okay, but the story was excellent. i for one loved the book so much i read it twice (well, thats cos i read the paperback once, then for my birthday last year i got the coffeetable illustrated version, so i decided to read it again), and so its safe to say that i know the book version pretty well and therefore it was just amazing seeing the story coming to life in the movie.
BUT, as with every book/movie (especially one such as this one that touches such a sensitive nerve), there's bound to be ultra mixed reviews fm different people. everyone's bound to have a different opinion about it. heck, even the churches are going on and on about how the movie sucks. which is pretty funny seeing they havent even watched it yet. well, now they're going all out trying to point of errors in the book and why the story is not true (wonder if they've seen it yet).
all i can say is c'mon guys.. its just a work of fiction for purely entertainment's sake. the more dust u stir about this, the more u're going to arouse ppl's curiosity to watch the show. i mean, do u really think a 2.5 hr show is going to change ppl's minds and distrust an entire religion?! if thats enough to do the trick, honestly u're better off losing these weak minded individuals to the "dark side" anyway. harsh, i know.. but its true dont u think considering the entire christianity is practically built on faith?
ok, i better stop before i get carried away on this and stop on others' toes. so anyway to wrap this post up, all i can say is go watch the da vincci code. its good, but do remember to read the book first because if u dont, i can almost guaran-damn-tee that u're gonna walk out of the cinema mumbling "wat the fuck..?" together with the other 3 billion ppl who thought "hey, why read the book when u can jus watch the movie..?"
