Grazie Michael!!

ok this is gonna be my last post on f1 for the season and probably my last post ever on schumacher as an f1 driver.

last weekend at sao paulo saw a red car come out tops, but it wasn't the one everyone was expecting - it was 2nd driver massa who won it followed by alonso and button, which basically means not only alonso managed to succesfully defend his drivers championship this year (sigh), but renault too managed to retain their constructors cup (double sigh)

but nevertheless, retiring schumi put up a brilliant performance - starting fm 10th on the grid due to a fuel pressure problem in qualifying on saturday and also ending up in 20th position due to a tire puncture in the early stages of the race ($#%& bridgestone), but still managed to finish the race in 4th position, just 5 secs shy of 3rd place man button. amazing stuff, classic schumacher stuff - kick urself if u missed this race.

so anyhow, here're some pics nicked off yahoo sports:

the scuderia ferrari team saying "grazie michael" - thanks for the memories!

massa, todt and the man himself

schumi receiving the f1 lifetime achievement award (or something like that) from footie legend, pele

seeing double (legends at least) - self confessessed schumi fan pele congratulating the man

schumi walking off with his head up high after the brazillian GP

we're all gonna miss you schumi!! race weekends just won't be the same without you.

petronas always makes the best ads for the festive season, and this time around their efforts for deepavali and hari raya is no diff.

usually its always heartwarming stuff but i guess since two celebrations coincide, perhaps they decided to go with only one touching one, with another one taking on a comical approach.

click here to check it out. trust me, its worth it.

i'm just so damned convinced our local celebrities are a bunch of idiots, leading the pack would be confirmed "i dont give a flying fuck about anything" rocker awie. here's why:

ok, dont know if u guys hv been following this awie saga (well, its hard not to when they dailies are covering it pretty comprehensively), but apparently like a couple of weeks back awie divorced fm his hot actress wife arni anuar. at first the pair was pretty tight-lipped about the whole affair, so all was fine i guess.

it was only til a few days ago when our rocker fren decided to have a press conference to "come clean" about the whole thing.

perhaps my bahasa melayu has deteorated over the years as i dont recall the translation for "coming clean" or "clearing the air" ever meaning "making a total fool of yourself", cos that exactly what mr rocker did.

ok, heres the gist of it: he says that he has no choice but to divorce his wife of 8 years cos she insisted on it, and even agreeing to give up her custody of the kids. he went on to say that he still "loved the marriage and had no intensions of divorcing her". awwwww... so the rocker has a heart after all.

awwww, mr "i dont give a fuck about anything" rocker awie has a heart after all

ok, right about now u could be actually sympathising with him right? let me finish the story then (and trust me, it gets better)

then he admits that he has been married secretly to singer/actress halimah misbun for about a year now. he says that his friends are aware of this 2nd marriage and only his 1st wife doesnt know about it cos he's "waiting for the right time to tell her". is there even a right time for this kinda things?!

anyway read the complete article nicked off the malay mail here

wait, so u thought it was over? not yet... hehee

in response to his press conference, the religous department is now investigating his second marriage because in order to take a 2nd wife, a man has to get approval fm the islamic syariah court, who in turn will seek confirmation that consent has been obtained fm the 1st wife (dum dum dum). however, if the court did not seek this confirmation at the time, the man is free to marry without the consent of the 1st wife (wat the fuck..?)

ok nevermind about that, they are now lookin into it to see if awie even got the courts permission to marry again.

i wonder whats gonna turn up again tomorrow? read the second article here

i love this song.. mungkin nanti and its by peter pan

Saatnya ku berkata mungkin yang terakhir kalinya
Sudahlah lepaskan semua kuyakin inilah waktunya
Mungkin saja kau bukan yang dulu lagi
Mungkin saja rasa itu telah pergi

Dan mungkin bila nanti kita kan bertemu lagi
Satu pintaku jangan kau coba tanyakan kembali

Satu pintaku jangan kau coba tanyakan kembali
Rasa yang kutinggal mati
Seperti hari kemarin saat semua disini

Tak usah kau tanyakan lagi simpan untukmu sendiri
Semua sesal yang kau cari semua rasa yang kau beri

hehe, this was on f1-live.com:

Alonso turns attack to Fisichella: Moaning champion has a new target

Reigning World Champion Fernando Alonso has widened his attack on the Renault team after losing his championship lead in China. The 25-year-old, who in the Spanish press this week accused his team colleagues of abandoning the quest for his drivers' title, has now been quoted as criticising team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella's tactics on the Shanghai circuit.

While Ferrari boss Jean Todt hinted this week that Fisichella's precision driving on the straights was tantamount to illegal blocking, Alonso attacked his Roman cohort for overtaking him. Alonso reportedly told Sport-Informations-Dienst: "In the same situation I don't believe that (Ferrari's) Massa would have driven past Schumacher.

"A Renault spokesman, however, insisted that 33-year-old Fisichella 'drove purely for the team' in the Chinese Grand Prix. And he said of Spaniard Alonso: "There is no problem at all with the relations between him and the team."

Tomorrow we expect Alonso to hit out at global warming, which must also be responsible for the loss of the championship lead.

the last part's classic, sigh.. alonso alonso alonso, wats ur problem man?
