forza italia!

this week's french GP was pretty much like the worldcup: the italians kicked the frenchie's asses once again. the only diff was that there wasn't any headbutting action going on, haha.. although it would've been funny if alonso headbutted someone after the race, hehe.

ah well, enough of sports for the moment. seems like my blog entries lately has been either bout football or f1. yawn..

moving on.

oh, after some coaxing fm my sister i decided to join her and my bro for their inline skating lessons. after more than 10 years of not being on skates, obviously i needed some pointers on the basics.

the goods news was that i could still stand up and move about easily. the bad news was that i was unable to stop, haha..

the classes was basically organized by this placed called skateline or something like that in TTDI, who holds classes in a nearby park. students are divided into different classes based on their skill levels, whereby they have to graduate from one level to another.

basically i wasnt too sure i'd want to commit to a monthly thingie like my bro + sis, so instead of paying the full RM160 per month fees, i opted to pay RM20 for the trial classes for ultra beginners (fees include rental of skating gear, so it was pretty ok if u ask me).

so anyway wat i learnt today was seriously basic: how to get up, roll around and even the proper way of falling down. so the big question is will i continue..? i do not know yet, lets see next week..

magny-cours: dominant or dorminant ferraris? that is the question.

well well, isn't this interesting? last week after being thrashed left, right and centre by schumi, alonso claimed that indianapolis is where ferrari is and has always been stronger than the renaults, and the usual renault domination will be back from magny-cours onwards (especially since the french GP is renault and their tire manufacturer michelin's home race).

the results of yesterday's qualifying? yawn, ferrari 1-2. :D fuel strategy? maybe. lets see wat happens later - it should be a good race.

hehe, check out alonso's face in the post-qualifying conference (this guy is really a sore loser, face always damn black if he doesn't win. siao eh, u think everyday sunday ar..?):

anyway, for those who have yet to check out scary movie 4, GO WATCH IT! its good. i still can't imagine how in the world those guys managed to combine the saw, war of the worlds, ju-on (the grudge), the village and broke back mountain into one movie!

man, i love summer movies.. watching it requires so little thinking that i swear u could watch it without your brains, hehe.

caution: eating too much escargots could lead to involuntary head-butting

"what the fuck..?!" is precisely what went thru everyone's mind when watching the final world cup match between france & italy.

i mean wat the fuck was zidane doing headbutting someone in the chest? i dont care what that guy mumbled to you (rumour has it that it was either 1. your mom/sister is a whore or 2. you dont deserve to play for france, u dirty terrorist), you should be professional enough to control your emotions especially when there's so much at stake. and considering u're supposed to be one of the top players in the world with such a stellar record, thats the last thing everyone'd expect you do, mr zidane. tsk tsk tsk.

ah well, my theory is that he was paid a take a dive in the game and he panicked when he realised that italy wasnt going win this one on their own - so he better get himself sent off so that he wont be blamed for the win (heh).

speculations, speculations.. who knows wats the truth anymore?

some pretty interesting stuff happening lately, where do i begin?

well, lets start with the biggest event that got the whole world talking: the world cup, with the Germans just totally destroying the Portugese with a 3-1 victory, despite the Portugese side actually having more ball time. some interesting facts of the game courtesy of
livescore.com:

oh well, the finals between France & Italy is happening in slightly less than 4 hrs time, and i guess it would be a pretty interesting watching the Italians kick some Escargot-eating freaks' asses (hehe, i got a small wager on the Italians taking the cup).

ok, taking a break fm sports finally.. managed to catch quite a number of movies over the past week, starting with some Canto movie Recycle. At first i thought it was going to be some horror movie, but it ended up being some mind-fuck movie. as bad as that sounds, its actually not too bad. watch it if canto movies are ur thang..

next would be fast & furious: tokyo drift. all i can say is that jap chicks rock!! jus seeing them jappo babes' flash their bootays worth the 10 bucks! :D

ok, last one was the biggest release of the month: superman returns. i dunno it its just me but i felt that this superman kinda lacks something compared to the previous superman (ie Christopher Reeves). i mean, he's SUPERMAN for gawd's sake, shouldn't he be like more ermm.. larger than life? this time, he looks like a fa- ahem, i mean a guy who's in touch with his sensitive (ie feminine) side, who's lonely and unsure of himself (well, to give them some credit perhaps this was the way the director wanted to portray him since he's been away for 5 yrs chasing a home that wasn't there).

all in all it was a fun watch, especially since the effects for this one is much better - when superman flies, he looks like he's really flying, not like the old ones that u can see is just a scenery moving in the background. well, all i can say is heck, its superman. jus go out and watch it for old times' sake.

the picture speaks for itself..

a dominant weekend at indy saw schumi and massa come in 1-2, followed by a fissi in a distant 3rd. poor alonso only managed a 5th - he was supposed to come in 6th, but thanks to the hopeless little schumacher (ralf) retirement, he was given a free bump up to fifth.

so anyway, alonso's lead in the driver's championship has been cut down to 19 points, with like what 8 races to go? got chance liao la.. lets see what happens in magny cours in 2 wks time.

series of unfortunate sporting events (or results, at least)

yesterday was a pretty surprising night for sports fans all over the world (or at least i thought so).

it started with england drawing with portugal 0-0 in 90 mins, which was mainly due to them being down 1 man, so i guess they were just hoping for a penalty shootout as that's where's they are strong at. thats precisely what they managed to do, holding on til the shootout but only to be kicked out 3-1 by portugal. ah well, too bad guv'nr.. u guys play like pussies anyway.

right after the eng v por match, was formula 1 qualifying in indy, USA. guess who blew the competition away by being a second faster than any other team? its ferrari!! schumi + massa took P1 & P2 respectively while poor struggling alonso only managed 5th fastest. wahhahahaahahahaa! (better laugh while i still got chance, apparently the spaniard's hard compound michelins are tipped to be the better choice for the race). ah well, it jus shows that tires play a very big part in motor racing, and bridgestone is NOT doing a good job. bridgestone-CEO-san, pls proceed to hari-kiri now (its long overdue anyway).

well, anyway after that was back to more worldcup action: brazil vs france. i mean c'mon do u even need to try to guess who'll win? defending champs brazil, who's still unbeated in the competition and has been scoring goals like crazy, versus a bunch of escargot eating idiots who's been struggling since day one of the worldcup and has been performing so badly that u don't know if u should laugh or cry.. so anyway that said, u'd think brazil would've destroyed them right? wrong. mofo's was kicked out by them croissant churners 1-0 in the 57th minutes (i gave up watching at 45', damn). samba my ass.

honestly, i believe my theory of "the ball ain't round" can't be more obvious here. don't understand? well, lets just say that there's a higher power controlling this matches and it ain't god. catch ma' drift..?
