lazy thursday

hooray! its a public holiday today! did nothing all day, and thats jus the perfect way to spend a public holiday. well, actually if u consider going to starbucks for some personal time to read a book (which i started ions ago, but jus din find the time to read it) doing something then well yah, i did something today =) sighh.. how nice if life could be like this everyday..?

malaysia boleh!

once again malaysia has proven that we are on top! once again we achieved the most impossible, unthinkable feat that no one has even dared to imagine. what is it u ask..? well, i believe that tmnet is the only internet service provider in the entire galaxy to offer adsl broadband internet service which is as fast as a 56k dialup connection (honestly i think its actually slower) .. hoorah for tmnet! hoorah for malaysia! *pah*

lazy, boring sunday

sigh.. i'm so bored. i've got nothing to do! i know.. u must be thinking why doesn't he just go out if he's bored? well, in a nutshell: lazy. if wanna go out? where to go ler? shopping malls? too many ppl and cars, too little parking. wanna go yam cha? hmm.. hot ler, maybe later. (haha, i know.. i'm gonna stop complaining before i get a slap).

actually i need to go get some stuff from a shopping mall. the only prob is that 1. its the weekends 2. i'm afraid to go shopping. lemme explain: i just realised that i have a problem - i'm a compulsive shopper. i jus pick up anything i see thats nice without giving it much thought. give u an example: how many ppl u know that can walk into G2000 when there's a sales and walk out with rm500 worth of shirts EVERYTIME? (thats why i avoid G2000 at all costs). another case: was supposed to meet up a fren for dinner after work at midvalley on fri nite. she was a lil late so i decided to walk around to check out wats new in midvalley.. i passed by levis and in 10 mins i walked out with a new pair of jeans, which as i walked out i saw the exact same one on the mannequin, n i realised that i din like it that much. hmmm, go figure. i think i need help.

on another note: managed to catch 2 movies lately, both are supposed to be sequels and surprisingly both are not too bad. the 1st one was ms congeniality 2, although the storyline is a lil stupid, but i have to admit that it was a pretty enjoyable watch with some genuine laughs here and there. go watch it. i also caught 'be cool' starring john travolta, uma thurman and gang. i walked into the cinema late, so i din really get the beginning.. and furthermore it was a lil slow at the beginning. but as the show progressed, it started getting really funny (i mean REALLY funny). you guys DEFINITELY have to go out and watch this. its really, really good - the storyline, the jokes .. its the real deal y'all!

just caught american idol on star awhile ago and its jus the same as always, a bunch of talented but almost always not so good looking ppl signing their hearts out. yada yada yada.. there's already 3 "idols" out there, i think there's more than enough to go by so lets just stop it already.

well, thats not exactly the point of this post. i was just wondering.. am i the only person who realises that paula abdul looks drug-f*cked all the time? i mean not only her eyes are practically half open, she's talking rubbish most of the time (not like she doesnt when she was sober-er before), and when she stands up to clap at the end of the show, i always notice that she can hardly stand up straight. whats up with that..? is she really such a has-been that she's cut out to be?

sigh, i guess falling fm grace.. then thinking that finally u're actually getting that break to regain that pas glory, only to be broken by the realisation that no matter what u do, u're still yesterdays news is more than enough to break anyone. look on the bright side, at least she's ONLY drug-f*cked.. haha. =P

rumble rumble

i know its a tad bit late and u're all probably sick of hearing bout it by now, but i've gotta say it: i felt the tremors the other nite yo! it was a lil past midnite and i was sitting at my table flipping thru some ol mags when all of a sudden i felt alil dizzy. i thought i was still drunk (yep, i had some to drink earlier in the nite). it was only when i noticed the shadow of my ceiling fan shaking when i knew something was wrong. i immediately stood up and it was then i felt i couldnt stand straight - i was holding on to the table and still going "whoa.. whoa.." it was over in like 5 secs. honestly i was scared shitless man. i quickly ran outta my room, n i was met by my sis who was downstairs (and saw the ceiling fan shaking too), and my mom who was asleep already but felt the tremors, woke up and saw her hanging clothes shaking. all of us were pretty shaken up i'd say. it was only then i learnt that practically the whole malaysian west coast felt it. my colleague who happened to be in a hotel in penang said it lasted for quite a while over there. apparently she had to time to get up, pack some of her stuff and run down the stairs from the 14th floor - the tremors only eased off when she reached the 10th floor or so. scary eh? ended up she had to spend 2 hrs sitting outside the hotel b4 the building management allowed them in again. damn pitiful, haha..

the worst part is that there's this rumour going about that there's going to be another quake tonite. i wonder how true is that. sigh, one thing bout some ppl.. they just love to start rumours about these kinda issues that could spark public panic. wats up with these ppl anyway..? fking weirdos.
