u know when some ppl say "i dont stinge on food one.." they really mean it:
the Trader Vic restaurant in marriott, bangkok has created a burger called the Trilogy burger, which costs 6,600 baht (RM600 or USD184) a pop!
why the fk issit so expensive u ask? well, as chef kevin thompson puts it "it is actually reasonably priced, when u factor the ingredients used". so, mr thompson.. wats innit?
matsusaka beef, morel mushroom, black truffle, foie gras and (get this..) GOLD LEAF!
so i guess u can't actually say "knnccb, so expensive - made of gold ar tiu?", COS IT IS! hehe
oh and apparently matsasuka beef is even higher crass than wagyu or kobe beef 'cos "in japan, a matsusaka cow listens to classical music, eats oats, drinks beer and is massaged with sake for three years."
amazing.

unless u've been stuck in a cave and cut off fm civilization lately, i'm sure u'd have been engulfed in the hype surrounding the new hit series Heroes.
well, for the benefit of the hoboes out there, its a series about a bunch of ppl who suddenly discover they have special powers and the show is basically about how somehow their paths seem to cross, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
anyway if u haven't watched it i strongly recommend you to as i think it kicks ass! its easily the most engaging series i have ever EVER watched!
thank god for lyn who has 14 episodes downloaded onto her hardbox, else i think i'd be suffering fm withdrawal 6 days a week. well, actually i AM already suffering fm withdrawal cos i've only watched til episode 14 and the current one in the US is episode 18! i'm still trying to download the newer ones now, but streamyx is just so darn #$%^&* slow!
anyway back to the show - there's quite an interesting cast of characters: from the internet stripper with multiple personality to a flying politician, but my absolute fave has got to be the japanese office worker, Hiro Nakamura who can manipulate time and space.
its not so much his powers that makes him my fave, its more of his character that i find really cute - while the others are all dark and gloomy trying to figure out whats "wrong" with them, Hiro is the only one who actually embraces his power and (almost) always has a smile on his face. even though he's the geekiest, and the LOSER-est (if there's even such a word) of all the characters, i think he's the coolest! especially like it when he goes "YATTA!" (i did it!) whenever he does something new with his powers.
YATTA! HELLO NEW YORKKKK..
i'm officially hooked - Heroes to me is like what heroin is to Isaac Mendez
