just caught '13 going on 30' and surprisingly i actually found it pretty entertaining. yah, i know its an old show and all (c'mon, its showing on astro for goodness sake!), but hey somehow i just never caught it and since it was just starting when i turn the telly on, i thought what the heck.

so anyway, for the benefit of those who still hasn't watched it (tsk tsk, outdated peasant! :D) its about this 13 yr old girl who hates her life (at that age, who doesn't?) and longs to be 30 so she can be "flirty and trendy" or something like that. so anyway something happens and the next thing she knows is that she's 30, got a dream job and sports-star boyfriend bla bla bla.

at 1st she thought she got everything she wanted, only to realise that in order to achieve all that she had foresaken everything and everyone that she loved (her tubby highschool best friend included - who somehow shed all that fat and is actually not half bad looking). then things start going wrong - her company's falling apart, her used-to-be-tubby-bestfriend-who's-now-good-looking getting married (she realised that she has feelings for him), she wished again that she could go back and undo the damage she's done and surpise surprise, she goes back to when she's 13 again and treats her again tubby best friend better and eventually they get married.

how predictable.

well, the point of this post is that although we're not exactly 30 yet.. what would u do differently if u had a chance to go back now? heck, i'd just memorize all the lottery and 4D nos for the past 10 years and get the hell back and watch the $$ roll in with minimum fuss. heh heh..

watabout u? what would YOU do?

YES! SWEET, SWEET VICTORY....

finally! after wat felt like a lifetime, schumey's back on the top of the podium again. alonso came in 2nd, but thats only cos schumey lost abit of pace halfway through the race due to some tire problems and couldn't quite get back to form even after switching to a fresh set.

but honestly, if it was any other track i think schumey might not even be in the top 3 (imola gives drivers almost zero chance for overtaking) - so to be honest, (as much as i hate to admit it) the win today may be more luck than anything else.

well i guess whats most important is that the fact that the ferraris showed good pace all weekend - at least they are moving forward. who knows? perhaps a ferrari 1-2 in the next race? :D

here we go again..

SCHUMEY'S ON POLE!! SCHUMEY'S ON POLE!! yeah baby.. the man's got P1 at this weekend's san marino grand prix. will he win? heck, after whats been going on so far this season i'm not going to even bother. as much as i hate to admit it, those damn renaults are just too blardy fast.

however, the tide's have been known to change once the races head back to europe so i guess it might be too early to say, but honestly.. i'm not holding my breath just yet (0k, actually i am). haha.

anyway, some interesting facts and figures that i came across:

  • schumey's P1 at san marino this weeked is his 66th career pole position, breaking the late ayrton senna's all-time record of 65 poles
  • coincidentally, this is the same track which senna won his final pole, a day before the brazillian was killed at this event in 1994 (choi choi choi, touch wood!!)
  • senna's pole mark is the only F1 performance record which schumey has yet to beat - he now has the most wins, championship titles, poles and points than any other driver in history
  • only riccardo patrese's achievement of competing in 256 GPs so far escaped schumacher, for whom this weekend marks his 233rd F1 GP.

so can schumey convert his P1 into a victory this time around? i certainly hope he does, seeing that he's pretty confident about it - "with the car we had, getting a pole was sort of obvious..", wah lau eh.. is it necessary to be so lansi? win first then talk la aiyoh! hehe..
