on another note, to make up for the boring and hot day at the track today, i treated myself to some ferrari merchandise - especially the shirt which i've been dying to have since day one. *dreamy sigh* (burnt a gawd damn hole in my pocket though)

dilemma
the Formula 1 circus is back in town! i know that i've been bitchin' how boring F1 is these days, but i just can't help but want to check it out. its actually like this: a fren has a pair of tix extra and is willing to let it go pretty cheap. well, actually still not THAT cheap 400 bucks for an otherwise 1000 bucks seat. i'm in dilemma now. to go, or not to go..? that is the question.

boogey nights..
kim scored 2 tix for boogeyman, so i headed over to midvalley after work to catch it. all i can say is that thank gawd i din have to pay for it - heck, i dont even know where to start bitchin bout the show, there was just so many things wrong with it. okay, i admit that at the beginning it was a lil freaky, but as the show progressed it got pretty bad (its only a 1.5 hr show, so it didnt take long for it to start sucking..). the killer to it was the ending, if u can even call it an ending.. its as if the directors/producers just ran outta film and decided to end it there and then, not caring if it made sense or watever. i bet the line "wat the f*ck..?!" ran thru everyone's mind the moment the "the end" came up. don't believe me? go watch it then..
wait, dont leave yet.. i'm not done with my bitchin for today. lets start another episode of "CINEMATIQUETTE" (heh heh). the couple that sat next to me in the cinema just now not only came fashionably late, but almost immediately after sitting down took out a bag of food and can drinks (yes, u read rite.. food and can drinks) - almost as if they were on a gawd damn picnic. i mean, there's a reason to why the cinema doesnt sell all kinds of food at their food stands u know. its cos it simply stinks! the moment they opened the bag it stunk man i tell you! i think they went and get some fried stuff and crap like that from jusco. summore can cool-ly open the can. my goodness.. some ppl.
well, maybe they were really late for the movie, so they hurriedly went to pack some food to eat in the cinema cos they din have enough time? well, even so they had no right to compromise my comfort right..? SOME PPL.. THE NERVE OF THEM. *huff* :P

"why you lil good-for-nothing whiney piece of @$%*..!!"
i just watched LOTR - the return of the king again just now on HBO and it brought about some forgotten memories and feelings the last time i watched it.. the feeling of how much i hate hobbits! i wonder how many of u out there realise how useless the hobbits (or hobbitses as smeagle would say.. hehe) were. they just stood about making a huge nuisance of themselves, slowed everyone else down and proved to be a big burden to everyone they came into contact with, right to the very end. this is of cos with exception to the REAL hero of the show: samwise gamgee (wonder if i spelt that correctly..). he's the true reason that the story had a happy ending. frodo did nothing but whine and complain thruout the whole journey. heck as useless as i think his mates merry and pippin were, i think frodos the most useless of them all! there wasnt a time in the show where i din feel like just smacking him on his stupid face.
although i wonder if its because the actor (elijah woods or some crap like that..?) played the character to perfection or does he have a "oh look at me, i'm so pathetic - slap me please.. TWICE!" look on his face all the time. can't believe that everyone still thought that frodo was the hero up til the end. oh puhleesssseeee..
well, anyway after watching it again i really feel like visiting the LOTR-land thingie in new zealand now. i wonder if its as fun as its made out to be, or would it just turn out to be some lame-o theme park crap which looked better in the movie jus cos of effects and CGI. anyone been there care to comment..?

sympathy junkies
have u ever met one of those ppl who just cant get enough of sympathy from others? i mean u have the ppl who will not tell others their problem no matter wat, and on the other end of the spectrum u have those who will just say anything, no matter how trivial just to get some sympathy? well, let it be "oh my pet ikan bilis jus died, i'm so sad" which will inevitably lead to a "awwwww... poor thing". or maybe just a "i just broke a nail.." *pause* (no reaction) ".. and now my finger hurts, sob sob"anything, i mean ANYTHING to get that "awwww.. poor thing". wat issit with this ppl?
the reason to why i said this was that i always thought the "all new morning crew" which consists of two lame dolts on hitz.fm was pretty dumb, but they managed to bring their lame-ness to totally new level when one of them dolts decided to announce to the whole world that (get this) "oooh, my gf dumped me last nite.. i'm soooOOoooo sad. now i dont have the mood to joke around and make a fool of myself as usual, nor do i have the mood to carry out a part of the show which i'm supposed to play dumb pranks on others.. all cos my girlfren dumped me and i'm soooooo sad.. *sob sob*". i know its really insensitive of me to be even typing a post like this, but i mean, u're paid to be a radio dj. i mean who cares if u've got personal problems, cant u even put that on hold for a few hours?! even if u can't, issit really necessary to tell the whole world wat just happened? or does callers (probably after u coaxing them to) calling u up and telling u that they're happy ur now single again cos then now they have a chance make u feel alot better?
sigh.. obviously the ego trip didnt really work cos he didnt turn up for work today. my only regret about all this is that mix fm doesnt really play my kind of music all the time, so i do still have to switch back n forth hitz to mix every so often - hoping everytime that i dont hv to listen to those 2 chatter their mindless crap. bring back lil kev and flyguy already!

@ passion
went to passion, kl last nite. apparently it was quite happening once upon a time, but its quite dead now. if it werent for the mat salleh crowd last nite, i think that place would have been really empty (suspect the mat salleh crowd are here for next weekends F1 at sepang). the reason to why they're so screwed now is cos of their super strict dress code - no sandals or three quarter pants for women, and no singlets for guys. this one i understand, i mean why in the world does a guy want to wear a singlet when hes out clubbing?!
another thing is that they charge RM11.50 for a lil jug of coke. u've gotta be kidding me. i mean, i can actually be fine with it since i dont mind drinking my whiskey with water (water is free flow), but i think 80% of the ppl clubbing can only drink it with coke. and 1 or 2 jugs of coke is just not gonna be enough for a bottle of whiskey! blood suckers.
then summore when it was time to go, word was going around that the whole kl was blocked up. shit, every panic. ended up it was true that many roads were blocked up, but blocked because there was going to be an F1 exhibition in front of KLCC. i think the petronas F1 car should be running on the roads for an exhibition. pah, all panic for nothing.. hehe

the nyonya connection
just got back fm a business trip to melaka. i think its been almost 15 years since i last went down to melaka (i think it was when i was in std 3 or 4 when i went there on a school field trip).
so anyway since it was a biz trip, obviously most of my time spent there was on 'offical' biz, so i wont bore u with that. well, when i got there i had lunch at bibik neo - dont recall if i blogged this b4, but they also have a branch of this right here in sri hartamas which tastes exactly the same, only at a much much higher price: i think the same dish which costs 18 bucks in hartamas, cost only 8 bucks in melaka. yah i know.. rent is higher in sri hartamas rite?
then that nite we visited the portugese settlement. if u havent been there, i'm sure u're thinking "Wow, kewl .. a portugese settlement?" that was wat i was thinking aso.. wonder how issit like? the truth is, its actually just like any housing estate, with a big sign stating "portugese settlement" before u enter. then as u drive along the road, u will come to a place sorta like a food court, which is by the seaside (sorta like an esplanade). thats where all the food is. it was okay, not too bad.. wouldnt mind eating it again but would definitely not actively seek it out again. funny thing is that i have to pay 1 buck to park my car there. hmmm.. its jus a food court, not a shopping mall. but the "toll collector" was 2 tattoo-ed up guys, so didn't really wanna mess with them.. hehe
i will have to go to melaka every now and then from now on, since i've been placed in charge of that area. the sad thing is i dont know anyone there. this time i was lucky since i went down with my boss. the next time i'll be going solo which will be pretty lame since 1. i still dont really know my way around 2. i dont know anyone there. so if anyone knows anyone at all in melaka, pls introduce to me.. pleaassee! but on condition that she's must be a cun chick (haha). okay la, if guy aso ok, but on condition that he knows many other cun chicks. hohohohoo..

my my.. has it really been almost 2 mths since my last post? time does fly doesnt it..? anyway, finally got my internet connection up and running.. well, actually my modem konked out at 1st, got a replacement then later on my streamyx access got cut cos i didnt pay my bill - which is probably cos the #$%@ telekom just doesnt send the bill to my house. told them that a billion times but they just cant seem to get this problem fixed. doesnt matter, wats important is we're online right now..
well, the 2005 f1 season has officially begun as of today. the 1st GP in Australia was this afternoon and i really hv to say it was disappointing. the new rulings have just taken the fun outta the sport. here're some of the new rules that i know of:
1. cars can only use 1 set of tires for qualifying and the actual race - tires can only be replaced if its damaged.
2. one engine has to be used for 2 races.
i think there's a few more, but these 2 is good enough to take the racing out of f1 namely because the teams will be ermm.. cautious. one set of tires and one engine for 2 races will only cause teams to run their cars slowly in order to preserve the tires/engine which will make it BORING. and its already proven that its boring because i fell asleep a few times today watching the race. sigh.. lets hope that they revisit this rules cos if its gonna go on like that, they might as well change it to B1 .. 'B' for Bored.. heh heh (i know, lame..) and of cos it didnt help that michael schumacher spun out after a collision with nick heidfeld - DNFed the race in order to get a new engine for the next race here in Sepang. now i'm wondering if i should even consider going to watch it live since its soooOOooo boring now..
